Jardeg Construction is currently recruiting B Pressure (By Hand) Journeyperson Welders to join the Integrated Constructors team at Bonnyville Fabrication Shop and work as a Direct Service Provider (contractor) WITHOUT your own Rig. The schedule is 5 days on, 2 days off rotation on day shift.

This Fabrication Shop is in Bonnyville, Alberta. There is no living out allowance or travel assistance for this position and candidates are required to drive to and from the Shop.

For over 40 years the team has been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.

As a By-Hand Welder Journeyperson, you will complete fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the welding equipment involved with various welding procedures.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filter rods.
• Use welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or SAW to weld pressure piping.

Position Qualifications:

• Welder Journeyperson.
• Alberta B-Pressure Ticket.
• Tacking experience required.
• Stainless experience is an asset.
• Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-2020).
• WHMIS 2015.
• Aerial Work Platform.
• Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection.
• Class 5 Driver’s License.
